Commitment to Safeguarding
- Sessions are delivered by a qualified primary school teacher.
- An Enhanced DBS certificate is held, with ongoing checks through the DBS Update Service.
- All sessions follow professional standards and statutory safeguarding guidance.
Online Safety
- Online sessions are conducted in a professional manner at all times.
- Children should attend sessions in a suitable, open space within the home.
- It is recommended that a parent or responsible adult is nearby, particularly for younger children.
In-Person Safety
- In-person sessions take place in appropriate community venues.
- Parents are responsible for drop-off and collection of their child at agreed times.
- Children remain the responsibility of parents/carers outside session times.
Communication
- Communication regarding tutoring takes place directly with parents or carers.
- No private one-to-one messaging with children occurs outside of sessions.
Concerns
- Any safeguarding concerns will be taken seriously and, where necessary, reported to the appropriate authorities in line with statutory guidance.
